Product Use

This Vehicle Speed Sensor Integrated Circuit - Vss IC is specially designed for Golf Cart to LSV conversions where Speed Signal is needed for proper operation of the now required Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 141, Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.

This Speed Sensor IC is water and oil resistant and designed to operate in temperatures from -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 150°C).

The Sensor IC is used in the OKA 1475L Vss that replaces the Differential Oil Fill Plug, and senses the Vehicle Speed by "counting" the Gear Teeth on the Differential Ring Gear.

The Vss IC is provided for OEMs that want to manufacture their own Sensor Units.
